Things to do in Lucerne
From stunning mountain peaks to winding streets and beautiful lakeside views, there are plenty of opportunities for the perfect shot. As a local photographer and tour guide, I recommend the following for visitors looking to capture the best of Lucerne!

LAKE LUCERNE

Lake Lucerne
Discover the breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne with a captivating cruise amidst the Swiss Alps. Yes, Switzerland is one of the most expensive destinations in the world, especially Zurich. So much better if I tell you that boat rides are quite affordable. Because they are seen as public transport, so what are you waiting for? :)

Unlike Lake Zurich, Lake Lucerne has many shores where you can admire nature! For example, you can take a boat from downtown Lucerne to the lovely villages of Weggis or Viznau within an hour. There, you can eat something or stroll along the lake. The ideal half-day or full-day program!
Lucerne Downtown
Visit Lucerne downtown for a charming experience in the heart of Switzerland. Explore historic streets, iconic landmarks, and beautiful lake views. Enjoy vibrant culture, shopping, and delicious Swiss cuisine. Lucerne downtown captures the essence of Switzerland in one unforgettable destination.

For good reason, Lucerne is the tourist hotspot! There is so much to discover, that's why it happened that we also offer a downtown tour 😇

Of course, you can explore the area without me! These are my personal favorites:
⇒ Kappeler Bridge
⇒ Lake promenade to the Grand Casino
⇒ Musegg Wall
⇒ Lucerne Old Town
⇒ Lion Monument
DOWNTOWN
PILATUS
CONGRESS CENTRE

MUSEUM OF TRANSPORT

Just a few minutes from Lucerne Downtown! Take a thrilling ride on the world's steepest cogwheel railway or a cable car to the top of Mount Pilatus. The panoramic views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding Alps are simply breathtaking. That's why it happened that we also offer a tour there 😇 But of course, you can explore the area without me! (Although you might miss out to capture hundreds of photos ;))
Mount Rigi
Not that close to Lucerne like Pilatus, but before you write it off already… it's perfectly located to do a day trip to a lovely small lake village in the area (e.g. Weggis or Viznau) - that would be an amazing day program!

Embark on a memorable journey to Rigi, also known as the "Queen of the Mountains." Take a cogwheel train or a cable car to the summit and revel in the stunning vistas of the Swiss Alps and surrounding lakes.
