This tour in 5 sentences

Roughly seven to nine hours through the Bernese Oberland, built around waterfalls, mountain villages and views from the car that are worth a stop. The drive in follows Lake Lucerne, passes Lungern and over the Brünig Pass, with the Giessbach Falls dropping into Lake Brienz along the way. Lauterbrunnen follows, the valley of seventy-two waterfalls, and Wengen is the car-free mountain village with its church and viewpoint. Interlaken itself sits on the strip between the two lakes, and Iseltwald closes the day on the quiet shore of Lake Brienz. The rest of the day is the drive itself, and in the Bernese Oberland the drive is part of the sightseeing.
