This tour in 5 sentences

Roughly five to seven hours for the classic Lucerne day: on foot through the old town, then up the mountain at the end. You start on the waterfront, cross the Chapel Bridge and pass the Jesuit Church. The old town itself, the Musegg Wall, the Lion Monument and St. Leodegar fill the middle of the day, at a pace that leaves room to stop when something catches your eye. The Seebodenalp gondola takes you up at the end, for the view back over the lake and the city you just walked through. The rest of the day is the drive between Zurich and Lucerne.
